Since 2017
I volunteer with the math division of the Reading Team Program, a non-profit organization supporting literacy in disadvantaged communities in New York. I led one of the weekly Kindergarten sections during the public school year.
Since 2018
I was President of Columbia BlueShift, the undergraduate astronomy society, in 2018 and I served as the club’s Senior Advisor in 2019. As part of BlueShift, I worked on building the astronomy community at Columbia.
Since 2020
I am working with the Scalable Cyberinfrastructure to support Multi-Messenger Astrophysics (SCiMMA) team on developing education and public outreach initiatives to better serve the community.
Since 2017
I volunteer with the Columbia Astronomy Public Outreach program. I have participated in bi-weekly public rooftop observing nights, helped with yearly elementary school events, and given outreach talks to high school students on my research with LIGO.
Since 2019
I participated in the Letter’s to a Pre-Scientist program for the 2019-2020 academic year as a scientist pen-pal.
Since 2020
I volunteer with Skype a Scientist by video conferencing with students in K-12 classrooms to answer questions on gravitational waves and LIGO.
